Best way to merge .tib files created in incremental backup??

Thread needs solution

Is there any way I can merge two .tib files created from an incremental backup? I am kicking myself for not doing a full backup of my old PC, but rather being impatient and doing an incremental backup instead. Now I have 2 .tib files and I need to consolidate them. Could I select those two files and select "My Data" to back them up into one .tib file?

The only thing I can think of to go about it the "right" way is to restore those backups onto some sort of spare drive (which I don't have) and then back them up all over again in a "full" backup. That seems awfully silly, you think ATI would have thought to include a "combine backups" tool or something... Would this be the only way to do this?

If your version of ATI features it, like 2011, you can consolidate backup versions. ATI "edit" (a bit like a movie) different backup files to make a single one out of them. Of course, intermediary versions information is lost in the process: if you have 3 files from 3 consecutive days, where sector 1 takes the values A, B and C, sector 1 will have the value C in the consolidated backup.

Hi I have got a little problem with Windows 7..it does not start when I switch on the computer. I saved through Acronis a copy of the Recovery Disc, a .tib file. Now I want to take this .tib file of 12.7GB and create a .iso image of the file to use a bootable recovery disc when I switch on the computer, in order to restore Windows 7. How can I create the .iso image starting from .tib file and store as bootable image in a USB pendrive?...thanks

You are better off donwloading the bootable iSO directly from your account, and burn it to a DVD, or use Grub4DOS to use a USB pendrice.

I don't see a clean way to move from a TIB file to an ISO and make this bootable.

You could try to restore your TIB file onto a blank DVD on another computer (not sure this will work).
