Can't uninstall 2011 True Image for 2012 upgrade

I purchased the 2012 upgrade but the installation of True Image 2012 said it couldn't uninstall 2011 True Image due to a configuration error. I tried to manually uninstall 2011 in program and features of Windows 7 and I received a similiar error. I did manage to uninstall the true image 2011 package addon but 2011 True Image itself still would not uninstall. If I run regedit and search and remove all entries for Acronis will that let me install 2012 or is there another way?

You should use the Cleanup Tool and then try if you now can install ATIH2012. If there are still leftovers that prevent the installation of a newer version, read these very helpful instructions by user Richard Virtue

Before you edit the registry, you should have some kind of... well - backup. ;)

The 2012 cleanup tool worked and removed 2011. I then was able to installe True Image 2012 and I just did a full partition backup. Thank You for your help.
