Create a Full Version After Every x Incrementals not working
I'm pretty new to Acronis True Image. I've set up a Custom Scheme based on an Incremental backup method. I checked the box to have a full version created after every 5 incrementals. I created a full and 5 incrementals backups, but the next time the software ran it created a sixth incremental. I have a feeling this is user error, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Also one of my incremental files seems to be split in two and I'm not sure why. I'm attaching a screen print with all the screens that seem relevant.
Thanks for any help,
Ken

Thanks, Grover. I think I did do a restore at some point. I usually track these but this is a brand new system I'm building and I don't have all my protocols in place.
I will have to look again at my settings. I did not realize that I was having the full backups replaced with each new one. This was not my intent. Thanks for letting me know.
If I switch my backup type from Partition to Disk, will I be able to restore just the C drive without restoring my D drive if I wanted to?
Thanks,
Ken

Having a disk image backup does NOT limit the restore options. You can still restore single files/folders, single/multiple partitions, or the entire disk. The advantage to having a disk image backup is that it can often make the disk restores (when performing a disk restore) much easier in that there need be no pre-configuring of the partitions during a restore.
