error when trying to make image of main partition
I have build 6613. I have a new computer build and have installed a samsung 950 pro m.2 nvme drive on the gigabyte motherboard. Everything is configured and working. The 950 has 2 partitions. The system reserved partition and the main c partition. I imaged the system reserved partition ok. Trying to image the main c partition to an external usb drive. I get an acronis "error writing to drive" message about 100 gb into the image. Tried creating a new backup with same results. Are there any issues imaging this nvme drive with this version of acronis?
Thanks,
John

Checke the external drive as suggested. No errors were found by windows scan. Here is excerpt from the log file. Can you interpret?

John, unfortunately these error codes can only be interpreted by the Acronis Developers, there are no sources of information on their meaning made available to us users.
Do you have another external drive you could try saving a backup to? If you do have a second drive, then use the 'Clone settings' option for the backup task and then reselect the target drive to pick that second drive rather than trying to use the same backup task with a different drive which can cause problems.

Hello John,
In your place I would check Windows Event viewer for possible errors about accessing the external disk. Also you can run additional diagnostic tests as I described here: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/129276#comment-408401.
The message that goes after Error_Code= is just a Base64-encoded text. When decoded, extra errors about writing to disk are revealed, but none of them point directly to the root cause of the problem.

Slava
