large incremental backup
I use the latest TrueImage for backup. I do an incremental backup each day. It is typically 1.1 or 1.2 GB (which itself seems large). I was gone for the weekend and the incremental backups were still 800-900 MB. Since nothing changed while I was gone (although the computer was left on), shouldn't the incremental backups be very small?

I don't really understand what you are saying for the 4th scenario:
Dmitry wrote:Acronis True Image Home 2009 issue – The algorithm of incremental backup archive creation is different from the regular one of Acronis True Image Echo and is similar to its fast incremental backup method. Hence, incremental backup archives in Acronis True Image Home 2009 can be considerably large
Are you saying that Acronis TI Home 2009 incrementals are just big regardless of the previous listed issues? Does TI Home 2010 work the same way?

OK so this make sense now. Because my default was set to weekly defrag, my backup saw this as a change each week even though there was no activity on that drive. By changing the default to monthly and doing a weekly backup I should only see a big back up after that monthly defrag then right?
