"True Image has stopped working.” After 6525 update

Thread needs solution

Yesterday when starting ATIH 2015 it tells me that there is an update so I let it install. Now ATIH 2015 will not start and I get the message "True Image has stopped working. A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly..."
Also, now when scheduled backups are run I get an email saying "Task execution failed. Description: Stage DescriptionCannot read the log file."
To try and fix the problem I down loaded the latest build (6252) and used that to uninstall then reinstall but nothing changed.

Well after trying everything I could think of the only thing that worked was to uninstall and then use the Acronis True Image 2015 Cleanup Utility from …

and reinstall and setup all my backups all over again (what a pain).
Next time, I’ll at least create a restore point before letting True Image 2015 update itself. Maybe then I can recover quickly though I'll still be on an old version.
