Dell Vostro 260s NIC not recognized

Thread needs solution

I successfully created an image from a Dell Vostro 260. When I attempted to boot a target machine using Acronis Bootable media it hangs at "Processing". I understand this means the network card was not detected. I created a PE image, included the network drivers for the Realtek network card and booted to it. I receive the error: E0033001D: Failed to connect to Acronis Snap Deploy 4 OS Server.
It appears that the network card is not detected. In the window behind the error on the target machine, there is nothing lsited under "Available network interfaces". This issue was posted several months ago here as well... http://forum.acronis.com/forum/22706

Any help would be appreciated.

Mark

Hi, any solution to this yet?
I have more than 20 machines (Dell Vostro 260) Realtek PCIe GBE NICs and can't seem to go anywhere after WinPE boot.
Error:
E0033001D: Failed to connect to Acronis Snap Deploy 4 OS Server.

When I run the DOS command: netsh interface ip show config, I get: "Loopback Pseudo-interface 1" with 127.0.0.1 IP.

Running the netsh interface ip set address name= command did not work and get syntax error.

Please response to this error asap if there is a solution to this.

Hello Mark and Adam,

Thank you for your posts.

I would like to provide you with a custom build for Acronis Snap Deploy 4, according to our Development this issue has been addressed there. I will contact you via a private message.

If not, I would really appreciate if you could get back to me with this information collected after installing that build:

1. Windows system information file if applicable.

2. Acronis Linux Report from the bootable media.

Hi Anton,

Is this the full installation? If yes, do I have to uninstall the existing version before running this installation?

Cheers,

Hi

We have the same issue with a Samsung NP300. Realtek PCIe Network Card. Using the latest build and created a PE image with latest Realek drivers but the card just isn't detected. Can I be emailed the custom build disk.

Many thanks

I'm having this issue with a Latitude E6430 with the Intel 825xx NIC. I've tried about 12 different drivers and nothing works. I show the same stuff as Adam (Post #2).

Why is a "Custom Build" being held from users and can only be requested via the forums? I need this NOW and have wasted about 6-7 hours on this. Now that I finally come across this post, I don't have much time before I have to leave.

I guess I'm not understanding what's going on here (or lack thereof). The Linux boot disk hasn't been updated since last year, and yet, the newer kernels would solve a LOT of these kinds of issues.

Are you guys abandoning this product? I didn't buy into Snap Deploy for WinPE, I bought into it because of a simple to use (and brilliant) Linux boot disk that found the client's network cards, easily, and quickly.

Having to come on a forum to search for these kinds of fixes defeats the purpose. We're getting back to the Norton Ghost days where you'd have to build a DOS-based disk with complex network drivers and the lot.

Will you guys PLEASE provide an updated the boot disk with the latest Linux kernel?

Or...

Here's an idea... Let US do it, if you won't!
