Acronis True Image: Recovery does not start after reboot
Goodmorning In a pc with windows10 (UEFI) I try recovery the SO disk to a previsually backup tib, I start ATI, I select recovery, disk, destination disk and clic start, the SO ask me to reboot the system, i confirm, after reboot, the system boots directly to Windows. Acronis True Image does not start in boot mode and the recovery/other operation is not performed, only way is enter in bios and select every time the acronis loader for first boot priority, at the next reboot the acronis loader is not available. Is there some possibility that fix this, i don't want enter in bios or select the boot drive manualy, i need to recover the so directly from ati in windows. Thancks

I understand this explanation but that doesn't change the fact that Acronis is not doing what it is supposed to do and more importantly it is not doing what it is telling the user it will do i.e. reboot and restore the drive
If Acronis is not able to provide a safe way to reboot a Windows 10 UEFI pc and perform the restore, then it should not offer that option to start with.
I just wasted 2 hours trying to make it reboot and restore before I found this post.

Your computer may not be an HP but it obviously uses the same bios. It is this bios that is the cause of the issue not Acronis. In fact, Acronis is working correctly here. It si attempting to take your system disk offline by rebooting your machine into a Linux based environment to perform the restore operation. This is the best practice safest way to perform a system disk recovery. The problem you are experiencing is that the bios is written in such a way that it prevents the reboot into the Linux environment. I suspect this is by design as a security measure by the bios manufacturer. In such cases the user must intervene and take extra steps to get things working.
