Appliance died, replaced no backups

Thread needs solution

Recently the Acronis appliance died; went into reboot mode.
So, I replaced it.
Having dealt with this buggy POS for years, I assumed it was more or less like every other buggy half working always time consuming update and I have been correct so far.
I first tried touching all of the jobs, massaging every curve and cranny to make sure that each piece had been modified from the source VM to the job name and job credentials.
The jobs stayed stuck in deploying for a couple of days and did nothing.
So then I deleted about half of them and they are stuck in deploying withe the other jobs.
Then I noticed that the Machines with agents had an error for the appliance; so I deleted the appliance from the console and rebooted the management system. which restored the appliance to the machines with agents and now it's listed as "OK".
So, I still have the jobs stuck Deploying.
Who wants to try pissing in the wind to give me a solution?

So, while waiting for some traction here: I deleted all of the backup jobs, again and recreated them. Woohoo!
Next nightmare:
Tried to run a backup and I get

Hi!

The last error indicates that the backup storage (Acronis Storage Node) is inaccessible by the hostname "ssgvsops01". Typically it is caused by incorrect/missing DNS settings in appliance network configuration - you can check it from the vSphere client in appliance console. Likely this is the main reason for why the tasks are stuck in "deploying" state. If this is not the case then you should contact our support team for assistance so that we can check the setup and environment via a remote assistance session to provide proper troubleshooting.

Thank you.
