One machine will not cooperate - Failed to create volume snapshot, Failed to enumerate open files on the volume
I have been trying to get build 11639 to work in my environment. It installed on many machines just fine and solved some of my previous problems. One server machine is giving me a hard time right now. I have the Agent installed and the proper services are running. I have deployed a backup policy from AMS successfully. However, when the task runs it throws the following errors:

A backup started while directly connected to the machine also ends up in the error state.
This machine is running Server 2003 R2 SP2. It is the primary domain controller and also runs Exchange 2003. It is critical to our operation. It also runs Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange. (Am I correct that B&R10 has nothing to do with Recovery for Exchange?)
I tried some of the solutions for some of the error codes but I was unable to reinstall the self-signed certificate as the utility does not exist at the path stated in the article.
Can someone help me get B&R working on this machine?

I'm having a similar problem, I used to backup 3 servers but from yesterday I am getting the following error for one of them.

Thank you for your posting! In the event logs I see several VSS (Volume Shadow Copy service) errors, which means that VSS is not working correctly. Plus there are entries related to the SQL Writer. I would check solutions provided in the following article. The described steps help to verify that SQL Writer is up and running on the machine in question. Here we've collected the general guidlines on how to troubleshoot VSS issues. If the issue persists I would recommend to contact Microsoft, as VSS is a native MS functionality.
