We had some major issue with Acronis 12.5 in Our customer place.

Activities we had done.
Created the backup of dell server (Windows 2012 server) .its completed Successfully.
Try to restore the Backup image to the Physical server restore is successful.
But its giving blue screen error.
Tried the UR on the server with required drivers and storage drivers.then also its getting blue screen error or going to system repair mode.
targeted machines are HPE ProLiant DL360 &DL380 Gen10 Server Models .

For checking the backup image we tried on hyper v VM its working fine.
On the Physical machines we are getting the issue still.
Tried the recovery using Linux media as well as the Win PE media.
still the result is the same.

Hello Sineesh.

Unfortunately, you have not shared with us the error code you receive on BSoD. Thus, I recommend that you follow the solution from this KB article if this is the "Stop 0x0000007B" error. Otherwise, please follow instructions from another KB article with common troubleshooting bootability issues steps.

Hi Maria,

I think Acronis Backup / Protect 12.5 / 15 still conflict with HPL Dl380 Gen10 Server - we've had same issue, and Acronis supporter remote and check but not solve !

Pls, check in your RD team with backup ( on dell/IBM/ vmware/hyper-v ....) and restore to HPE DL380 Gen10. you'll know our pain !

Hi Frank, sorry to know about the issue! Would you mind sharing the ticket ID, so that we can look into the situation?

Hi Ekaterina,

i've trace my Technical.

He opened 2 case ID:

- 04531914

- 0455522

But the last tried, he used Veeam backup instead (backup Dell/ HPE DL380 gen9) and restore to HPE DL380 Gen 10 and respond to Acronis Team that he did restore successfull, so your team not know it.

we'll open another case because the failure restore still remain !

Hello Frank,

thank you for sharing your support case numbers.

According to the information provided in your latest case, some drivers were missing in your Acronis bootable media and as a result, the OS was unbootable. You were recommended creating Acronis based WinPE media: https://kb.acronis.com/content/60140

You were also advised to make sure to inject license and all the drivers for the questioned machine while creating a WinPE media, enable Acronis Universal Restore option and follow these step-by-step restoration instructions: https://kb.acronis.com/content/35681

Hi Maria,

sure, but we did it as your guide but not successfull so many time.

If you can talk with Technical and R&D team, a easiest way, they can setup in their lab.

Restore backup from another device (window Server 2012/R2, 2016, 2019) to Physical HPE DL380 Gen10. always fail
