Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office, Live cd
I have bought a new dell laptop with win11 installed, it has not been switched on yet, initial setup etc.
I would like to make an image as it is now pre setup incase I need to recover later,
After buying Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office, on my old working laptop can I download the iso, create a live cd and make a backup image of the new laptop with it to a external USB ssd.
Thanks Chris

Hi Steve, thank you for your reply.
I allready have a ati 2020 license, I have downloaded and created a bootable cd from the bootable media iso.
I had to temporarily disable secure boot so I could boot from usb cd drive.
When 2020 live cd booted I can see all 6 partitions on the nvme ssd, so it seems to sport it OK.
I have read that ati 2020 does not officially support Windows 11 but may still work,
If i purchase the newer Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office, Will this give me a more up-to-date version of
Bootable media that officially supports Windows 11?
Thanks Chris

Chris, your existing ATI 2020 rescue media will support Windows 11 regardless of Acronis suggesting otherwise. In reality rescue media is used for doing a bare-metal recovery where the target drive has no installed OS at all, so doesn't look at what the OS is when in that environment.
Upgrading to ACPHO is changing from a perpetual license to an annual subscription.
