Failure to write back Snapshot Manager Drive
Question 1: Acronis I really ask you at what time precisely do you get your act together and let me have a new build of your software to recover 1:1 my full-image-backup of my machine below via bootable media without no major work around, hassle and errors at all? And this for all the partitions acc. picture “ATI-01_20160410_194506.jpg” which ought to be written back in one go.
Question 2: The error in enclosed picture “ATI-02_20160410_194506.jpg” can be reproduced at will and ease. What and within where has to be selected to run a successful recovery?
Question 3: Where can I switch off the message acc. picture “ATI-03_20160410_194506.jpg”?
Please enlighten me, thank you.
My Dell system configuration is as follows:
http://www.dell.com/support/home/ch/de/chdhs1/product-support/servicetag/GXB2H72/configuration?s=BSD
Acronis 2016 latest build 6027 and Universal Restore are installed. A full-image-backup of this configuration exists on an external drive.
Within installed Acronis on my machine I created a bootable CD/DVD WinPE. First downloaded and installed the Acronis Media Plug-in. Second downloaded and installed the Win 10 ADK. I did it within Windows 10 Pro and believe that Windows 10 is a must.
When booting above WinPe the BIOS on my machine is set as follow:
Boot Sequence: the media to be written back from at first place and at the very top
SATA operation is DISABLED
Secure Boot is DISABLED
Prior to recovery of my full-image-backup I start with a clean Windows 10 Pro installation of my machine, where its booting remains equally set as just mentioned. I boot in UEFI mode.
By the way, Windows 10 does not recognise my disk during installation either, but does when booting as above.
After installing Windows 10 I proceed and boot in UEFI mode via above Acronis WinPE, select all necessary items within the steps, but only drive C: to be recovered and nothing else. And subsequently drive C: to be written onto.
I did not select any of the 3 options just prior starting the write-back.
After a while into my WinPE procedure the error acc. picture “ATI-02_20160410_194506.jpg” occurs.
It goes without saying that after recovery, the BIOS on my machine would have to be set back to “READ On mode of course, but I did not get that far.
What shall I do now? What and where has to be selected or adjusted to lead such a recovery to success? I am stuck, done and of course disappointed that Acronis cannot do better.
