Partitions in .tib Disc Restore
I am trying to replace my 250 GB SSD with a 1TB SSD. I backed up the 250 drive with a .tib file in Acronis True Image 2017. I was able to transfer the data to the 1TB drive but the patitions remained the same as the old drive and I did not gain any space for the "C" drive. I tried it several times first with the default settings which yielded a bootable drive, but no extra space. Then I tried adjusting the size of the "C" drive partition of 227 GB where all the programs were located. I cannot change the size of that partition although I can change the space before and after it. I can change the size of some of the smaller partitions. What am I doing wrong? All I want to do is use the extra space on the new drive for program files.
Any suggestions you could give would be appreciated.

As always Steve's advice is excellent. MiniTool Partition Wizard is easy to use even if you have never tried to resize partitions before.
