Acronis True Image for Western Digital activation issue

Thread needs solution

Hi, I have replaced WD MyCloud Mirror with a new EX2Ultra. 

I am unable to activate the product as True Image doesn't see the NAS drive. I can see it in the Network, I have mapped a folder on the network drive and can add/delete files OK.

I can access the EX2 panel which is set to cloud mode.

I have tried adding ports 44445 and 55556 on my router firewall (BT SmartHub2 Router) as suggested in another post. I have done a factory reset, uninstalled and re-installed the software

 

Whilst I enjoy a challenge now and then, this one has me beat. 

I am starting to think I am wasting my time as (from what I see in the forums) Acronis has a LOT of issues. 

Any ideas where I should go from here for I am at a loss.

Mike, welcome to these public User Forums.

See KB 2201: Support for OEM Versions of Acronis Products which applies to all OEM versions of ATI supplied with hardware purchases.

OEM versions of Acronis have these restrictions / limitations of requiring to find a drive of the same OEM vendor which is not the case with the full products provided directly from Acronis.

Your options are to either contact WD Support for help with this issue or else consider alternative applications without the limitations of Acronis OEM ones!
