ATI 2019: Recovery failed Unabled to lock the disk

Hello,
I'm trying to recover a Windows 10 (UEFI) boot partition using acronis rescue media.
However, I'm getting prompted by the message "Unable to lock the disk. Boot your computer from a linux based bootable media.
My Windows 10 64bit installation runs in UEFI mode, the drive partition layout is GPT.
I've tried to create a rescue media using these options:
- - simple
- - advanced
- - WinPE
- - Windows recovery envireonment (recomended)
- - advanced - Windows 10 ADK
But non of these media helps to recover the boot partition.
Also in BIOS I disabled fast boot and Windows secure mode, which didn't helps either.
61632: Acronis True Image 2019: how to create bootable media did not help me to fix the issue.
Appreciate any help on how to troubleshoot. Thanks Bodo

Thanks Steve for your assistance.
I followed your steps to perform a full shutdown of Windows (Shift key + shutdown).
This time I booted from a rescue media (type: Windows recovery environment) and followed the recovery assistant to the last screen without beeing prompted "Unable to lock the disk" message.
Also I was able to do a recovery by booting from a linux based media, even without doing a full shutdown of Windows.
I will try again this procedure to do a full recovery with these options to see if it works.
Thanks again
Bodo

I saw the " Unable to lock the disk. Boot your computer from a Linux- based bootable media, and then try again " the other day when I was installing a brand new SATA SSD in a Windows7 Pro machine. I had powered down Windows7 Pro installed the SSD and booted up with an Acronis 2020 Rescue Media disk. I went to clone the entire rotational hard drive to the SSD and got the message. Luckily I had a Linux Rescue Media Disk with me and it had no such issue and performed the cloning.
