Backup Space Management

ATI 2020 Build 25700
Perhaps I'm just missing a setting someplace, but it seems to me that ATI's automatic cleanup method doesn't provide any means to initiate a cleanup based on the lack of available space. Instead, if a disk fills up before a backup operation is completed, the operation is aborted and an error condition is set. No further backup will occur until you manually delete older backups and request the backup to start.
I suppose that part of the problem is that the program has a difficult time estimating the size of the backup before it starts. However, it would be possible for the program to delete the oldest recovery set after aborting because of running out of space and then redo the backup.
Windows System Restore seems able to do this.
Is this a feature that should go on the request list or is there some way to do it now?
