ATI 2012 uninstall fails - where is cleanup tool?

Thread needs solution

I have bought 5 licenses of acronis true image over the years but got beaten badly by 2012. I want to completely get rid of it. However, uninstalling fails (windows uninstaller does not work). Upgrading to 2013 fails. This is on a fresh install of W7/64 on a brand new computer.

The support corner on the acronis website claims my support ran out in march 2013. Why? I bought two keys in Februari 2012! I even did not use one of the keys yet! What a fail.

I found a reference in this forum to a cleanup tool but it is gone now. The link in kb article http://kb.acronis.com/content/34876 does not work!!. Frustration after frustration...

So I started removal by hand. I disabled all services. Killed the remaining acronis processes. I uninstalled the special acronis filter drivers using the windows device driver removal tool. I removed all references to acronis software in the system. I was lucky the system still boots. But some remnants of the software remain.

So, please, can someone point me to a working version of the 2012 cleanup utility?

Thank you.

Link inside my signature below. Do read the instructions provided inside the link.

You may also find it helpful to run a registry cleaner tool. Be sure to do a backup or system checkpoint before using any cleaner of any type.
Revo Uninstaller also a good tool for additional removal.

EDIT: None of the links to the cleanup tool is working. I will look some more and post.

Final edit: The files are there. The problem is the browser if using Firefox. Try another browser. Opera works.
