Blue Screen when USB device is plugged

Thread needs solution

I receive sporadic blue screens when I hook a USB device (stick, U3) to my computer (Vista 64bit, SP2). It is not a hardware issue, I had several parts replaced. When I deinstall True Image the problem is gone. I tried TI 2010 but stil the same problem.

Thanks
Thomas

Hello thfrank,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

The issue need a closer investigation. Open new support case using this link and attach crash dumps:

- Right click on My Computer, choose Properties and go to the Advanced system settings

- Hit Settings in the Startup and Recovery box

- Choose Small memory dump in Write debugging information

- Close all the dialog windows by clicking OK buttons

- Reproduce the system crash

- The small dump file will be created in the directory chosen in the Small dump directory box.

Folks,
I have the same issue. Is there an FIX around ? If not, when can I expect one ?
thanks in advance

forgot to say, this problem is really easy to recreate. Just plug in a USB stick and you get the blue screen !

Of course there is now the new build since you originally posted so that might solve your problem.

To open a support case, you need to log in to your account on the Acronis website or click on the Support option at the top of the webpage on the right hand side (you are better off doing this from your account).

On your account page, the menu choice on the left hand side has a 'contact support' option, click on this, follow the drop down box prompt/choices.

You should receive an email with your case number within the hour.
