Dell RD1000 problem when true image home 2010 or 2011 is installed

Thread needs solution

Hi

I have a problem with TI home 2010 & 2011 with the Dell RD1000 SATA device. I've tested this on a Dell Precision T7500 & Optiplex 980. Both are running Windows XP SP3 with current patches and have the latest bios from Dell and the latest firmware on the RD1000. The problem we are seeing is that if you boot the system with a cartridge in the drive, windows explorer crashes when you try and access "My Computer" on the T7500 and on the optiplex 980 you see the Windows XP loading screen and just before the login screen appears you get a black screen and it stay's like that until you switch the machine off.

These problems are only seen if a cartridge is left in the machine during windows boot process. Also if you remove TI home then you can leave a cartridge in the drive and the system has no problems.

I'm about to test these machines with Windows 7 but interested to see if there could be a fix for XP.

Regards
Lee
