TIH2010 7046 TrueImageMonitor - Slow ShutDown - Can't Terminate Process - W7-64
Finally the "fix" release. Running 5055 without (known) issue - and finally a working release that supports Plus Pack.
Installed over 5055 - all appears well. Full backup - validate fine (but haven't tested restore just yet).
Noted shutdown time increased dramtically from 22S to 56S. Isolated to TrueImageMonitor.exe. I can't even terminate the process in Task Manager (running Admin with UAC disabled). I assume shutdown forces termination upon timeout - as task will not terminate gracefully.
Removed the entry from HKLM/.... /Run. Reboot - shutdown is back to 22S.
Grabbed the TrueImageMontitor.exe from v5055 (off older backup). This too results in long shutdown - and cannot be terminated from Task Manager.
Does not appear to be version-specific to the exe - but perhaps a hook from a different task or driver.
I also note that I cannot stop the NS Backup Service. Rebooted with this disabled - then loaded the lastest TrueImageMonitor.exe, but latter still refuses to terminate from Task Manager.
Would appear some things still broken.

I too have noticed the problem with slow shut down. After looking at the above, I terminated TrueImageMonitor and also disabled it on startup.
After termination, shutdown went from 3-4 minutes to about 1/2 minute.
I use TrueImage intermittently for backup and recovery - I do not use any form of realtime backup so would like to know what associated processes I can safely prevent from starting up at boot time.
I tried to attach the system reports from before and after TrueImageMonitor was running but upload failed

I, too, have a scheduled task that I cannot terminate.
It is stuck of 0% complete for the past 7 hours and I wish to examine the scheduling details with a view to making changes.
As I am unable to stop the task; what must I do to force the process to end?
The task is a bootable partition backup to a secondary drive (as a redundancy measure) and is set to make an initial full backup.

You can try stopping or killing the schedl2 module in windows Task Manager.
