Trueimage 2010 fails to mount/dismount image in windows 7 x64

Thread needs solution

This is happening often. I'll right click an image backup then go to archive and mount. Then nothing happens. I open task manager and TrueImage.exe. Sometimes more than one. I then have to kill the process. Then I can usually mount, this also happens when dismounting. This stuff never happened with trueimage under vista and I been using the same version under windows 7 now.

Version 13.0.6053
Hopefully there is some work around or something.

Does mounting work correctly for you from within TI itself?

Do you use Windows Explorer or a 3rd party file manager?

Does Exploring an image work?

I explored an image fine, and mounted and dismounted inside TI fine. The bug only happens at random. I use windows explorer no third party.

Hello Ian,

I understand the question and will do everything possible from my side to give you a clear explanation.

Can you please clarify have you upgraded Windows Vista to Windows 7 recently? If so it can be the reason for the issue. As a result of upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7, Acronis drivers are overridden by Windows drivers.

Run the Acronis True Image Home installation file. See Downloading an Installation File of Acronis Software;

Select Install Acronis True Image Home and select Repair:

This will repair the installation and you will be able to successfully mount an image.

If the issue persists use the following algorithm to identify the issue:

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.
