I am trying to use a Sony SDX 560V in a LaCie USB2.0/Firewire housing attached to a Thinkpad X61 Tablet under Windows 7.

Drivers are from the Sony website.

Backup to tape works flawlessly. I used the verification option and verification went through without problems. Backup took about 1hr. Verification a bit less than that

However, when trying to restore the image, the tape is going back and forth endlessly, the progress beeing still at 0% after 6 hrs.

Any hints, what may cause the problem and how it can be solved?
