Thread needs solution

Hello,

Looking for a bit of help with Acronis True Image 2021 for Mac, version 25.10.39287.

I'm trying to restore a MacOS Photos library from a .tibx file and am getting the message in the subject line of this post, though it's buried in the log, which I have uploaded and also pasted in below. Anybody have any ideas for me about how to get this resolved? (The specified file does in fact exist.) Thank you.

Hello!

Welcome to the forum.

This error can be caused by various reasons, such as a missing or corrupted source file, incorrect file path, or permission issues. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

  1. Verify the File Path: Double-check that the source file "Photos.tibx" actually exists at the specified location:

    /Volumes/Game Drive/Photos Recovery TIBX/Photos.tibx

Make sure the file is present and not corrupted.

  2. Check File Permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to access the file. Check if your user account has read access to the file and the directory it's located in.

  3. Validate the .tibx File: Use Acronis True Image's validation feature to check the integrity of the .tibx file. If it's corrupted, you might need to recreate the backup or use a different, valid backup file.

  4. Update Acronis True Image.

  5. You can manually try to open and copy the Photos library from the backup to your Mac.

  6. As test try to recover a new recovery point from the last days and check if it works.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you. I'm working with Acronis support on the issue, but I don't think I'll be able to recover from the .tibx file unfortunately.
