Error backing up Macbook Pro

Thread needs solution

I am getting an error whenever I try to backup my Macbook Pro to an external (NAS) drive. The error just says "The last backup attempt failed". Below is what the log says. When I try to create a support ticket Acronis says I need to purchase the package first, but I'm not willing to purchase it if it doesn't work. Is there any way I can get Acronis support for this issue?

Thanks,

Michael,

The log shows that the application finds the disk is corrupted.  It is recommended that you run chkdsk X: /f (where X is a drive letter) on the NTFS partitions involved here on both the source drive and the target drive.  You may need to have chkdsk run after a restart as this can only be done to partitions that are off line.  If you have partitions that do not have drive letters you can temporarily assign letters to them with Windows Disk Management.

Enchantech,

Just to point out that the poster has a MacBook Pro so is unlikely to have a) chkdsk or b) NTFS partitions!

I have the same problem.

Neal

Try using first aid on the Mac to check the source and destination disks.

May want to post directly in the Mac forum as well.
