Orphaned TIB files.
Please can anyone help get rid of these files.
Please see the screenshot.
I have disabled Protection, but the files are still locked and require permission from "the computer's administrator".
These TIBs do not appear in Acronis True Image, and I am unable to add them.
They are using up rather a lot of space...
Thanks and kind regards
Mark B

Good day Steve,
Thanks for your swift response.
There are no backup tasks in the main ATI 2021 Backup panel with the same stem name as the orphaned files.
I have read KB 61844.
I have tried to ‘Add existing backup’ with each and every file without success.
The files are on a SMB share on a NAS running TrueNAS-12.0-U5.1.
I logged into the share with a PC that has never even sniffed Acronis, and with both an iPhone and an iPad on iOS15, and none of them would delete the files.
I then tried your advice to kill Acronis Active Protection Service, then after reboot checked that Acronis Active Protection Service was indeed stopped. Tried again to delete the files without success.
Kind regards
Mark B.

Mark, given that the problem files are on your NAS and cannot be deleted via another PC where Acronis hasn't been installed, then the only other suggestion would be to use the web interface provided by the NAS and see if you have a file manager on the NAS that you can use to remove the files when signed in as Administrator.
I have no experience of TrueNAS so can't give more precise guidance - my own NAS is a Synology NAS which does allow the above type of operations.

Mark,
For FreeNAS/TrueNAS you must have inherit and recursive permissions set to full control of the logged in user. The link below may help.

OK, cracked it. I logged into the Truenas Shell. Navigated to the mount point, then removed the Acronis Back Up Directory. That deleted the files and freed up the space in the ZPool.
Thanks again for the help.
