Slow speeds, Acronis website slow, Waste of time?

Thread needs solution

I thought Acronis online would be a good bet, but the speeds are super slow, and it won't work with any of my proxies.

I get 551 kbit/s. Why do they quote kbit/s? Everyone uses kilobytes or megabytes per sec. I suspect this is a ploy to trick us into thinking it's 10x faster than it is.

I would like to cancel my subscription, does anyone know how I can do this? The whole service seems really unreliable, and logging in via the web is also super slow. I suspect Acronis just haven't invested enough in hardware to support this service, and until they do I'm going to withdraw.

To cancel use the support page and create a support request regarding the technical issues and ask for a refund.

My ISP and all others in the UK quote internet connection speeds in bits/s and 500 Kb/s is as fast as most connections will go here. Mine has a maximum upload of 1Mb/s and I cap ABS at 750Kb/s which it easily reaches now. I don't use a proxy.

Upload speed? If so, theoretically that equates to 12.5 MB/s.

I get 20Mb/s download which max's out to about 16 or 17 in reality off peak.
